One of the challenges I have with WordPress is how to successfully process content for our church website, that arrives as a Word attachment from others members of the Church. The sermons are generally fine to deal with, but the newsheet and church magazine are a challenge. The problem is that whilst I can use Pure-text to remove much of the formatting, font sizes etc, allowing WordPress to publish succesfully, I have yet to solve the problem of tables. The posting process pauses and prompts me to ask it to continue if I dont puretext it. If I copy in Word table code the results are worse.The result will usually not look right.
I guess that there is a neat solution, but I have yet to find it. A trip to the WordPress.org again may help.

I reckon I have found the solution! I went to wordpress.org and found a link to a plugin which I have downloaded http://www.ndsinternet.com/blog/. The plugin allows me to publish the Teaching Plan for the month, at least on the first try tonight.
